Here's whats New in Downtown Renfrew

Historic Downtown Renfrew

The O'Brien Opera House was completed in 1909, built by M.J. O'Brien.

The first event after the grand opening was a production of "Floradora" by the Imperial Opera Company.

Admission prices ranged from 25c to $10.

A new movie theatre was built next door in 1929, and the opera house was

then turned into apartments, offices and a large room rented by the Masonic Lodge.
